Page 2 of 3 Prominent features at the front are those covered bi-xenon headlights and bulbous wings that lead up to a rakish windshield. The large radiator-cooling vent carved into the front valance is flanked by two brake cooling ducts, these above a jutting chin spoiler that accentuates the torpedo-like nose profile. The deck lid proudly displays those two cylinder head banks, these forming a basis for the retro streamlined headrests that run back towards a retractable rear wing, this extending into the air-stream at speeds in excess of 125km/h. Clearly influenced by Porsche's GT1 sports racer, the Carrera GT's wonderfully executed tail is a perfect blend of style and simplicity, perhaps it's most distinctive details being those two exhaust outlet pipes housed above the huge rear diffuser. A folding hardtop will be provided instead of a flimsy canvas roof, another nice detail being the on-board camera located within the engine cover - perfect for filming exploits on the track.Inside there's a curious mix of retro and high tech details, the digital laptop-style screen being programmable for all sorts of data-logging, this housed in a brushed suede binnacle. This same material is used for the rest of the dash and the heavily bolstered bucket seats with innovative but ugly thigh protectors. Probably the most eye-opening detail though is the tall chrome and suede transmission tunnel that contains a competition-style shifter at a height almost parallel to the three-spoke suede covered steering wheel.
