2005 Boxster almost finished to set debut next year

AutoWeek posted an article regarding the next generation Boxster, this time running in nearly final trim.
The base Boxster will be powered by a lightly reworked 2.7-liter flat six producing about 238 hp and better low-end torque.
Look for the revamped roadster to debut at next January’s Detroit auto show, with the Boxster coupe’s premiere following at Frankfurt in fall 2005.
Photos of the Boxster S appear below. Note the double-pipe exhaust in the rear photo, one of the subtle visual differences between the base Boxster and its performance sibling. The new Boxster S' 3.2-liter flat six should push close to 270 hp when it debuts at the 2005 Detroit show or shortly thereafter.
