Porsche is studying hybrid technology of Toyota for its Cayenne models. The German car manufacturer is in an early stage to use hybrid technology of Toyota for its Cayenne models in the near future.

Since Porsche won't offer any diesel engines for their models in the future, they are looking for new alternatives to reduce consumption and pollution. The most probable solution would lie near to a combination of a clean petrol engine with an electric motor. The main reason for these considerations are the very strict emission regulations in the USA, the most important sales market of Porsche.

If Porsche will bring the hybrid Cayenne on the market, Toyota would be the co-operation partner. The Cayenne is accordingly adapted with a hybrid system of 270 HP originated from the Lexus RX 400h.
