Cayman RS (c) NewsweekNewsweek posted an article relating to the possibility of a RS variant of the new Porsche Cayman. This Cayman RS will contain a tuned version of its 3,4 litre engine, which will improve the current 295HP output to around 340HP. A 0-100km/h (0-60mph) sprint will be completed in less than 5 seconds. Enough performance to take on the forthcoming BMW Z4, scheduled before the end of next year. Body construction will be limited to a minimum weight. Rollcage will be standard of course, together with two racing bucket seats.

However we don't have to expect the Cayman RS before summer 2007. Another cheaper variant as an entry - lower powered car is also likely to join the Cayman range in the future.
