The new Porsche Boxster Coupe, scheduled for spring 2006, will be called Porsche Cayman. The World Premiere for the Cayman is already for autumn of this year at the IAA in Frankfurt. Mayor difference of the Cayman to the current Boxster is the coupe body to be more rigid, which results in more precise and better handling. As for the engine part, only the 3,2 liter six cylinder engine of the Boxster S model will be available in the beginning.
The cockpit and equipment would have no considerable differences to the roadster.
The model name Cayman seems to make association to crocodiles: Kaimane is a kind of alligators.
