Following rumours, Porsche is going to introduce a four-seater named Grand Tourer. This Porsche Grand Tourer will have a V8 engine and will feature state of the art technology.
The Grand Tourer will have sports car performance and impeccable handling, but it will also be practical with a spacious interior.
The car will probably be based on the VW Phaeton platform and it will also share a lot of components with the Porsche Cayenne.
It is also reported that the Porsche Grand Tourer will feature a four-wheel drive system which can be adjusted to distribute power between the front and rear wheels in an infinite number of combinations. The Grand Tourer will get a front-mounted V8 turbo power train with an output of 488kW (650 PS) and top speed will be in the region of 280km/h.
This new Porsche model will mainly have to compete against the Mercedes CL class, the Bentley Continental GT and the all new BMW 6-series.
