German car magazine Autobild reviewed the upcoming Porsche Panamera in their latest issue. This fourseater coupé with four doors, the same basic idea as the Mercedes CLS, will be introduced to the market in 2009. Target annual production are at least 20,000 units with an entrance price of approximately 75,000 euro.
Porsche boss Wendelin Wiedeking told the platform of the fourth model line will be developed by Porsche themselves. Rumours intended at first that this would be a co-operation project with another car manufacturer, namely Volkswagen. The Wolfsburger car manufacturer however found they were not ready to finance a new Porsche model after the experiences with the Touareg and Cayenne.
